Biomagnetic Hematite Jewelry:  This is the jewelry that is strung with the silvery black hematite stones.  It is quite durable and ideal if you plan to wear it when you are working or perspiring heavily.  It never changes color and it doesn't discolor the skin.  To clean it, spray it with a little diluted "Simple Green" (available at Wal-Mart), rinse with cold water and blot dry with a towel.  Never use jewelry cleaner of any kind.  If it has a magnetic clasp, dry the clasp with a q-tip and leave it open until it is completely dry.  It is a good idea to remove your jewelry when you bathe, shower, or swim since it is magnetic and composed of about 70% iron which can start to rust if it is exposed to much water.  The only exception to this is the hematite jewelry that has a screw clasp.

You can wear it in the water, but realize that unless you chlorine filter your water and use non-toxic shampoo and soap, the chemicals in your personal care products and the chlorine in the water can cause the line to become brittle and limit its life.  If you do plan to wear the jewelry all the time, we suggest that you safety seal the clasp by applying a tiny amount of clear nail enamel (not superglue or locktite)  at the juncture of the clasp and then screwing it together while you have it on.  That prevents the clasp from coming unscrewed and your possibly losing the piece.

Biomagnetic Electroplated Jewelry:  This jewelry has a base of copper that is electroplated with gold and silver to give it a more designer jewelry look.   It needs to have special care in order to remain beautiful.  Before wearing your electroplated jewelry, you should spray it with Clear Acrylic Sealer - gloss (available at Wal-Mart crafts dept or any crafts supply store).  Link jewelry should be sprayed with the magnet side up first.  Use a single, continuous spray and allow to dry several hours.  Then spray the top side the same way.  Cuff bracelets should be sprayed on all sides using a continuous light coat.  The spray coating will be completely invisible when dry. When you put on and take off your jewelry, notice if it is beginning to appear slightly worn or dull on the side next to your skin.

If so, clean it with alcohol and a dry cloth and repeat the procedure with acrylic spray.  By treating the jewelry with acrylic, you prevent its electroplated finish from being worn down by your skin and the acids and and chemicals in your body oils and perspiration.  This is especially important if you live in a heavily air polluted area, because chemical residues collect on your skin and interact with the metals in the jewelry.  Also, if you are sensitive to metals such as copper and nickel used in the jewelry, the acrylic finish can prevent these metals from irritating your skin.  The acrylic coating also helps to seal off your magnets (contained in the little round cups on the underside of your jewelry) from moisture from your skin which could cause them to rust, expand, loosen, and fall out.  It is very important to remove your electroplated jewelry when you bathe, shower, swim, or perspire heavily to prevent the breakdown of the finish and rust of the magnets.  To clean your jewelry, spray with diluted "Simple Green" and rinse with cold water. Never use jewelry cleaner of any kind.

Biomagnetic Stainless Steel Jewelry:  The nice thing about this jewelry is that it never turns or tarnishes and because it is made of surgical stainless steel, virtually no one is sensitive to the metal.  Its magnets are factory sealed in with an acrylic cap to prevent moisture from your skin from causing them to rust, expand, loosen, and fall out.  It is not necessary to spray coat this jewelry with acrylic unless it has electroplated gold on the top design.  If so, it is a good idea to spray to top side only to prevent the gold plating from wearing and fading.  It is also important to take this jewelry off when you bathe, shower, swim or when perspiring heavily to prevent the possibility of moisture getting into the magnets and causing them to rust.  To clean it, spray with diluted "Simple Green", rinse with cold water and blot dry with a towel.

Biomagnetic Body Wraps:   These are wraps made of high quality neoprene (the same thing they make fine wetsuits of) with ferrite magnets mounted into the wrap.  Especially if the wrap is worn next to the skin, it is important to keep it clean.  Wash it only in cold water, by hand, using diluted "Simple Green" or wetsuit conditioning shampoo.  Do not use any other cleaner and do not dry clean (in spite of what the package insert says), machine wash, machine dry, iron or dry in the sun.  The body wraps can be worn when you sleep, but never wrap them tightly.  It is the magnet, not pressure or tightness, that benefits you.

Biomagnetic Shoe Insoles:  These insoles are made of a high quality, durable vinyl with the magnetic material impregnated in the vinyl insole.  The bumps are not the magnets.  They are for added massage and stimulation of the reflex points in the foot if that is what you desire.  If you have foot pain, we suggest that you wear the insole with the smooth side up (against your foot).  To get maximum benefit from the insole, remove it from your shoe at night, place it between two socks on the foot and sleep with it on.  That way you get the benefit of the magnetic stimulation of your foot 24/7.  To clean you insoles, spray with diluted "Simple Green" and rinse with cold water and blot dry with a towel.

Biomagnetic Massage Stones:  These powerfully magnetized hematite massage stones will last a long time if they are handled properly.  First, always use them over a soft area, like a carpet or bed, so that if you drop them they are less llikely to break.  Use them only over thin (t-shirt weight) material or a sheet, never bare skin because they do not glide properly on skin.  Never use oils or lotions because they could slip right out of your hands.  Never use them on someone with a pacemaker, defibrillator, or any other type of mediocal electronic device.  To clean them, just spray with Simple Green, rinse in cold water and dry with a soft towel.  Be careful that you store them at least a basketball size distance away from your computer, cd"s, dvd's, tv, vcr, credit cards or anything else that is digitally coded or programmed.  And don't allow the kids to play with them by throwing them up in the air to hear them rattle.  That will cause them to craze and chip and they won't be good for massage anymore.
